Emma's 1st snow fall

It was too cute, it snowed today, and I decided to take Emma outside.  Now since we don't have a snow suit and she has hidden her shows I took her out and let the huge snow flakes flakes fall on her it was too cute. She had the biggest grin on her face.

Emma's 1st Christmas!

Emma had a wonderful 1st Christmas, it was a little stretched. But she made out on clothes and toys from all ends.  She still never got the concept of unwrapping the packages, we had to open them, then had it to her, then she got excited. LOL it was cute. Next year the families are going to have to spread the Holidays between 2 days instead of just 1, and if they can not handle it, then they can wait until her birthday to give her, her gifts. Because I am still not recovered from the stressful day, I spent more time driving and listening to my daughter scream then I did enjoying the Holiday.  Next Birthday in exactly 2 weeks. Pictures to follow.

Our very 1st Family Christmas photo

This is our cherished EVER Family Christmas photo. And of course, it is less then perfect, she was on the verge of crying. She as of right now, has this thing that "new" men or ones she sees less often, make her cry. LOL. As you can see daddy TRIED to make her smile, he was only successful in holding of tears momentairly. But he gets a kiss and A for effort.

Belated update

Wow.  Almost forgot about our blog.  With so much going on with school, the Holidays, and then getting things in order for next term, it completely slipped my mind.  So an update, Emma is a walking machine.  She walks like a little penguin it is too cute.  For 2 days now she has crawled out of our bed on her own...scary for me.  She also climbed into the new dryer.  We are getting really excited with the upcoming Holidays, and then her birthday..her 1st birthday, I think I might cry! It has happened so quickly.  Before I know it she will be in school....oh lord here are the tears.  On that soggy note, I am going to check laundry and put her to bed.

Emma's first steps by herself.

OMG! Today was the greatest day EVER! We went to the mall, to get out of the house and do some walking..that wouldn't get us wet. By "WE" I mean Nicole, my sissy Kiara, Missy, myself, and Emma. We stopped to let the girls play at the little play structure they have there. Man was it a mad house. We were sitting around watching Kiara run around and keeping Emma bug close, cause as I said, it was a mad house, and the bigger kids are crazy, jumping off structures and not paying attention to those around them, Emma was already head butted by a 4 yr old little girl, whose mother had nothing at all to say...GRR Don't get me started on parents these days...but back to the story. Emma was standing next to me hanging onto my shirt and was watching this little boy a little over a year run around...and just let go of me and kept going on her own she took maybe 10 steps and then fell over 2 or 3 steps from her target. I was the typical Mom and screamed, then almost cried. Needless to say about 30 other witnesses say my daughter fight for independence today, and then witnessed her silly mom fanning her eyes to keep the tears away. Ah well it was the greatest day ever...well almost the greatest day, that day was the day my baby was born.

My little girl is growing up so fast

OMG! My little girl is getting so big, and sometimes it just stops me in my tracks. It hit me today like a ton of bricks. It hit me today, while I was finishing up some homework.
She is doing so well standing by herself, and takes a few steps without support like from the couch to the coffee table. She is also hell on knees. She only has one speed, speed of light. Lol.
She is getting so independent. And has so many cute little quirks. And so damn entertaining.
Where would I be without her.

Pumpkin Patch 10-24-09

Well Saturday was the first day off for Daddy with no plans, so we decided to make a trip to the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie's Island. I am really glad we made the trip. It was a nice fall day. Sun and all. We took a hayride down to the pumpkin patch, after seeing the barn animals, Where Emma was extremely excited about the mini pony and the ducks. The hayride on the other hand was not that entertaining for her, until the ride back, we held her up so she could stand-up on her own, she loved it. She loves her pumpkins but she loves the Churro Nuggets best. Lol.
On the drive home, Shane and I decided that we are going to hold onto the children's traditions of holidays and what not, until Emma decides she is too big.
